Shitnoise Bastards / Disleksick split seven inch.

Absolutely years ago I drew this and it landed on my doorstep last week as the Shitnoise Bastards / Disleksick seven inch. In some ways it's bringing my arts degree full circle. Years have passed and my style hasn't changed much, just developed a little to include more detail. I remember drawing this piece. I really had a lot of fun with it that night. I'm not saying I'm having less fun drawing these days, but I've not drawn much these days due to my focus at university and this release has reminded me that I definitely enjoyed the process of drawing much more back then than whatever the hell I'm doing with myself these days. When I finish my studies I think I'm going to spend a month drawing for free for whatever grindcore and noisecore bands will have me. The piece on the back of this EP was actually drawn in the Settle Down Cafe years ago, which is where I have an exhibition on the walls today. Full circle, folks.

When I put the disk on I definitely felt proud that my illustrations are on this. Not certain which side is which (white labels) and I wouldn't want to hazard a guess but this is a slab of grade A quality noisecore. There's not much to say. Chaotic noise that kept my attention for about its 8 minutes. It's definitely not music you listen to while reading. Maybe music you listen to while grinning over divorce papers.

  1. SNB side has the harsh noise accompaniment from Tape Monster (USA).

Disleksick side is the blown out session recorded in a storage unit direct to a tape recorder.

Thanks for the kind write up!
